Dovel & Luner Sues V O Leasing Corp for Mislabeled THC Content

Press Release

SANTA MONICA – Dovel & Luner recently filed a class action lawsuit against V O Leasing Corp on behalf of California consumers who purchased cannabis products with inaccurate THC content labels. The lawsuit alleges that Defendant, who makes, sells, and markets “Presidential” brand cannabis products, overcharged consumers by illegally selling products whose THC content was represented as substantially higher than it actually was.

The Complaint, filed in the Superior Court of the State of California County of Los Angeles, alleges V O Leasing Corp violated the consumer protection laws of California, including California’s Unfair Competition Law and False Advertising Law, among other violations.

The complaint alleges, “Testing by an independent lab reveals that the true THC content of Defendant’s products is materially less than the amount listed on the label. Moreover, the difference is far greater than the 10% margin of error that DCC regulations permit.”

“THC-content fraud is rampant in California, but we hope to hold companies accountable. This lawsuit is one big step forward,” said Christin Cho of Dovel & Luner.
