“Non-drowsy” cough syrup investigation
Dovel & Luner is investigating a number of brands of over-the-counter cough syrup, including Robitussin and generic versions like CVS and Walgreens. These brands claim to be “non-drowsy.” But the syrup has a drug called Dextromethorphan (DXM), and Dextromethorphan may cause drowsiness.
Consumer protection attorney Jonas Jacobson explains our investigation.
If you bought cough syrup and were misled by “non-drowsy” claims, you may be able to bring a consumer class action.
