Overview
Ben Kaufman is a law clerk at Dovel & Luner.
Ben joined Dovel & Luner after graduating cum laude from Harvard Law School. During law school, Ben spent three years as a writer for the Harvard Law School parody show. He also worked in the consumer law clinic at the Legal Services Center, externed in the consumer protection division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and helped lead a variety of student journals.
Before law school, Ben worked at the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and at the nonprofit advocacy group Protect Borrowers (previously Student Borrower Protection Center).
Ben is from New Jersey. He has a BA and an MA, both in Public Policy, from Stanford. In his free time, he writes a weekly column called This Week in Debt for Protect Borrowers’s online magazine.
