Bridge Fire

The Bridge Fire started on September 8, 2024, in the San Gabriel Mountains. In just over a week, the fire burned over 54,000 acres in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. This fire was one of three major infernos that engulfed Southern California during September 2024: the Bridge Fire, the Line Fire, and the Airport Fire. The Bridge fire destroyed over 70 residential, commercial, and other structures, including homes in the Mount Baldy and Wrightwood areas.
According to officials, as of September 2024, the cause of the Bridge Fire was still under investigation.
